DUPLO Alphabet ~ Little Hands-on ABC’s and 123’s

We play with our LEGO DUPLO Brick Set almost every single day.  I am always amazed at the different creations the girls come up with,especially when playing with their Grandpa.  This activity was so much fun and it was while creating LETTERS!!

The girls would watch as I was creating each letter and try to guess what it was going to be.This was a fun and interactive way to get them talking about the names of the letters, sounds that they made and what they looked like.      

    We could put them together to make words…

…and my girls especially loved that I created the letters for their names too! 

Older children can even get involved and create their own or copy your letters.  Emily was very excited when she was able to use my letters as an example to make her own!

Little Hands-on ABC’s and 123’s is a bi-monthly feature that focuses on practical and simple ideas that you can do at home to help your tot develop their letter and number skills.
