Matthew Van Fleet
Summary: Fun fold-out counting book from 1 to 10 for little ones.
What You'll Need:
- Yellow foam sheet/construction paper
- Brown yarn
- Scissors
- Pencil {to outline/trace letter}
- Marker/Pen
- Googly eye
- Glue
- Trace and cut an uppercase 'L' out of the yellow foam sheet or construction paper. I used a foam sheet that was about 4" x 5" in size.
- Using the excess foam, cut out 4 legs for your lion, a head/face, and an ear.
- Cut brown yarn into 2" lengths for your lion's mane.
- Glue on the lion's face, ear, eye, and legs.
- Draw claws on your lion's feet if you would like and a face on your lion.
- Glue on the lion's mane using the brown yarn and also a longer piece for his tail.

We're just starting to do crafts focused on letters. I love this lion. I think I even have yellow foam sheets, though he may end up with a purple mane. I think I'm out of brown yarn!
Wow! That Lion is so cute!
