How to Make the ‘s’ squirrel:

  1. Cut the lowercase ‘s’ from a 2” x 2” piece of dark brown foam.
  2. Cut the body of the squirrel out of light brown foam. Use the sharpie to draw a nose and legs on the squirrel. You can also use this scan to trace a body.
  3. Cut an acorn out of light brown foam and a top for the acorn out of the dark brown foam.
  4. Glue/tape the tail onto the squirrel.
  5. Glue/tape the acorn together and glue it in the squirrel’s paws.
  6. Add a wiggly eye.

S is our letter this week and we are reading this book which I was introduced to at our library story time a week and a half ago. I planned on doing just this, but didn't have a good pattern to copy. Thanks for sharing. I love these abc crafts
