Every Sunday Carisa hosts a feature on her other blog called Tot School. If you’d like to know more about it, you can read more here! She has over 60 moms joining up weekly, so there are plenty of wonderful resources and ideas to find. This week I'd like to introduce you to one mom, Cindy at Along the Way.
Cindy is a mom to two kiddos, Emily and Aiden. Aiden is currently 39 months and is the *star* of their Tot School. Cindy has some great and fun ideas ~ and these are just a few.
If you’re looking for a great cutting activity for your tot, you might want to grab some paint sample strip cards from your local home improvement store. Aiden is practicing his cutting skills by cutting on the lines.
Cindy put together a fly swatter game for Aiden to ‘catch’ flies. She has velcro on the fly swatter that picks up the felt flies when he swats them. He can then count how many flies are on the swatter.
Aiden used tongs {great for fine motor skills!!} to sort 3 different sizes of pom poms into small, medium, and large tubes.
Aiden tried his hand at matching letters of the alphabet using the Pig File Folder Game that Cindy put together for him while they were learning about pigs.
Aiden is learning about the prepositions on, under, behind, in, and beside using a little barn and a pig.
To practice counting during their pig unit, Aiden made some cute little pig thumbprints and put together a number book.
Cindy put together some fun fabric pattern matching cards for Aiden to use too!
Be sure to stop by Cindy’s blog, Along the Way, and see more of what her family is up to. Hope you enjoy this Terrific Tot Site! To see more featured sites, click here!
