I was browsing around the other day and came across the site Baby TV that was designed specifically for infants and toddlers. While I can't attest to the full benefits of this site{ since my computer is having a few issues at the moment}, I can tell you some of the fun things about the site that I did get to explore.
Baby TV was developed after some sleepless nights to help provide parents with something educational and fun for their little ones 24/7. The site provides video entertainment, online games, recipes, printables and more.
"We know how important it is for parents to have safe and effective tools for learning and for play with their youngest child and this is what we endeavour to do. Our main focus is to develop high quality series that are designed to promote learning, activity and interaction in a fun environment.
BabyTV is divided into daytime broadcasts which feature active programmes geared towards development, interaction and fun, and nighttime broadcasts designed to be calming and relaxing. At night BabyTV features gentle visuals with a pleasantly repetitive movement accompanied by soft and soothing music."from the Baby TV site
The Play and Learn zone is full of games that focus on learning emotions, sorting toys, coloring, dressing up, matching, puzzles, and more. Click on one of the little characters in their spaceship and you are transported to that characters page and can choose from a variety of learning games. Some games require minimal mouse movement to use the game and others require a little more adult interaction.
Fun Activities for Parents includes Baby Chef recipes with a song clip, free downloads {screensavers and more}, e-cards, nursery rhymes set to a video, and coloring images.
If you are interested in any of the tv programs, they are all sorted by category: first concepts, guessing games, music & art, bedtime, nature & animals, songs & rhymes, building friendships and creativity. I have to admit that I am in love with Mr. Snail...he is just too cute! When you are viewing the videos, you have the option of making them full screen too - which is great! To watch the shows, you do need to subscribe to the Online Player for a monthly fee of $4.50 a month {pop-ups need to be enabled}.
Registration to access everything else is free for the site, so be sure to hop over and check it out! Hope you enjoy this Terrific Tot Site! To see more featured sites, click here!
