Simply Made ~ Magnifying Glass Matching

If your kids are anything like my kids, they absolutely love using magnifying glasses. So, when I saw this super cute magnifying glass matching activity at The Attached Mama, I just knew it would be a hit with my kiddos!

The game board has large pictures on it and the matching cards have miniature pictures. The child will use the magnifying glass in order to make the matches. So, want to make this great little activity for your little one?

Instructions:

1) Print out the Magnifying Pictures printable from Kelly's Kindergarten.

2) Cut out the individual game cards (miniature pictures). Do not cut the game board (large pictures).

Helpful Hint: For more durability print onto card stock and laminate everything!

Once everything is prepared and ready for use, your child will use the magnifying glass to view the miniature cards and then match them up to the corresponding larger sized pictures on the game board.

This is a great activity to help introduce the use of magnifying glasses! Thank you to Cathy at The Attached Mama for sharing your learning tool!

I found those awhile back and my kids love them. I originally made them for my younger boys, but even the older kids enjoyed it. Thanks for the reminder. That would be a fun one to do to get back into school mode. =0)

We did the reverse at our house. I left the "tinies" as one sheet and cut up the large pictures. My daughter never really got into it though.

oohh what fun! We have a magnify glass but other than looking at moving bugs (which can be tough) I haven't had any ideas on what to use it for. Thanks for sharing the link!

Thanks for featuring my blog!!

To answer the question about the magnifying glass, the one shown in the picture is from the dollar section at Michaels. I have also seen them in some other dollar stores and at Target, but they are easier to find locally in the spring/early summer in the US.

You can also buy them online from a number of places. Including rainbow resource and discount school supplies. Hope that helps!!
