When the Moon Smiled: a Bedtime Counting Book
by Petr Horácek

Summary: One by one the moon lights up stars to put to sleep the animals who sleep at night and to wake up the animals that should be awake, from one dog to ten moths.

Mm is for Moon

Need:

- Black construction paper

- Light Gray Paint

- Paint brush

- Bubble Wrap

To Make:

1. Cut a circle from the bubble wrap (just a small piece of packing bubble wrap will work)

2. Have LO paint the bubble wrap gray and press onto the black construction paper

3. Paint Mm is for Moon on the paper

4. Can add star stickers if your LO would like (mine said the moon had to have friends)

5. Add to the alphabet book

More Moon Activities

- Let your LO stay up late enough to see the moon

- Recite the Man in the Moon Nursery Rhyme and do a craft

Jesus Loves Me by Laura Logan

Summary: Children will love singing along to this well-known Bible song. Just open the book and the music plays. Colorful illustrations accompany the words and bring the song to life.

Jesus Loves Me Puzzle

Need:

- Jesus Loves Me puzzle printout

- Construction Paper

- Scissors

- Crayons

- Glue

- Envelope or Baggie

To Make:

1. Print out the Jesus Loves Me printout

2. Have LO color the heart puzzles

3. Cut out the hearts and Glue half of the each heart puzzle pieces to the construction paper

4. Store the rest of the heart puzzle pieces in an envelope or baggie

To Play:

Lay out the rest of the puzzle pieces and have LO match up and put the Jesus Loves Me puzzles back together!
