Simply Made ~ LOVE Printables

Laura's Bible Bites post got me thinking and I knew I could easily come up with something to make our LOVE poster a bit more snazzy! I went into Publisher and got busy creating hearts for the words, a love title for the poster board itself, and a kid-friendly copy of the verse to refer back to all week (month) as we work on the poster. We put ours on the back of our dishwasher which faces into our living room, so it will be nice to see all month long...The heart cards are in this bag for the boys to pull out each day (I will be doing this with my tot age 32 mos and my 6 1/2 year old)...I have provided each in PDF format to share with all of you. Just click here to get to it (scroll down)! You can see the actual pages below. I printed mine in color, on cardstock, but you could print in BW on paper less expensively!
Although it is not a tool your tot can use over and over again, it's one you will use all month long (or as long as it takes for you to pull out and teach all of the hearts), and maybe again in years to come! I hope you enjoy using Laura's idea as much as we are at our house, and I hope these simple tools can help you teach this valuable lesson to your tots~and even your bigger kiddos (ideas for bigger kiddos are on my personal blog, 1+1+1=1 if you're interested)!

I also pulled out all of our LOVE books and put them in a basket near the area so we could read 1-2 per day to keep us focused on LOVE! Be sure to see some great LOVE books on the right sidebar, we ordered many of these (or own them already) and plan to use them all month long!

This is a great idea, and I'll definitely implement it with my tot along with our love crafts and goodies for the next few weeks around Valentine's Day. Thanks!

Quick question, Carisa...how do you attach the hearts to the poster? Tape, magnets, etc? Just curious...

Thanks!

How awesome! We want our family rules based off 1 Corinthians. I have printed up something in the past but I hope I can turn these into magnets of some sort and relate them to training our children up in the Lord. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!

Tara-I am just using tape, ours are going to stick right onto the back of the dishwasher :). I couldn't find a poster and then I turend around and saw that and thought...it's perfect!

We focused on the word LOVE itself today and read tons of books and the verse several times. Tomorrow we'll being pulling words out of the bag!

If you go to the publishers website for Guess How Much I Love You, there is an activity packet you can download for free! I stumbled upon that this morning! Thanks for all of the tips about Love! We've been enjoying them and will be all week!

Thanks for the great printables! My four year old loved cutting out the words to a passage we have read many times and continue to study! It was perfect for our love-theme unit this month, too. And my two year old had fun arranging the hearts on our kitchen half wall!
