We love the Fisher Price Little People and the seemingly endless parade of houses, barns, and towns that accompany them. But did you know that Fisher Price also has a variety of online interactive games geared toward infants, toddlers and preschoolers?
The infant games start off with simple games where your baby only has to touch the keyboard to activate the game. Characters pop up and fun noises are heard. All to help your little one learn cause and effect and introduce some simple alphabet skills. Our kids have had great fun banging away at the keyboard during this stage of computer time. They don't need any computer knowledge, but having them sit on your lap and enjoying it together is priceless!
Toddler games (18 mo - 3 years) include coloring pages, learning shapes and colors, ABC's, puzzles, matching games, counting, animals sounds and much more. The games are very simple but ours have enjoyed repeating the words and playing along. The graphics are great on all of the games that Fisher Price offers and toddler can learn some basic computer skills through these games.
Preschoolers (ages 3-5) can move on up with phonics games, musical instruments, dot-to-dot, memory games and many other fun games. The controls are easy to navigate for kids. Ours could do quite a bit on their own with the games...but I was never far away because there is no guarantee with kids and computers. :) The preschool games offer the widest variety to choose from and more of the games are 'character based' but there are still some great ones to choose from.
While you are on the Fisher Price site, you might want to check out their Play and Learn section for parents. Play and Learn provides activities for children from Birth through age 6. Each activity is listed by age ranges and includes a mini 'lesson plan' and talks about the skills your child is learning through that activity ~ they have some great hands-on ideas.
Fisher Price also has a fun Crafts for Kids section where they have crafts sorted by education, seasonal, edible, drawing, and nature for you to browse through.

Thanks, we played one of the games at 6:30 this morning! A colored shape dances onto the screen, and we have to press any key to make the next shape appear. My 23 month old looooooved it.
